What we do

We know that adjusting to the Australian way of life may be challenging and overwhelming for migrants. There may be cultural and lifestyle differences to navigate, and challenges in connecting with the local community and services.

The Multicultural Resources Hub (MCR Hub) connects with and supports migrants to overcome these challenges for a more positive and diverse community.

We work towards providing migrants with access to the information, guidance and advice they need to become connected, confident and active community members.

We celebrate individual and community uniqueness, value cultural differences and recognise the benefits of inclusion.

Connecting
Communities
Together

Our vision is a connected and diverse multicultural community that practices inclusion and celebrates differences and individual and group contributions.

Our mission is to advocate for multiculturalism and create a sense of belonging for migrants in their local communities.

Improving awareness of multiculturalism

Providing a safe and structured environment for learning, social connection and well-being

Empowering migrants to ask for support by building self-esteem and confidence

Delivering community-based initiatives aimed at building connections

Encouraging migrants to volunteer within their local community by getting involved in events, programs and conversations to help build support systems

Working as a referral service to connect migrants with government and community organisations and services

Our Promise

We recognise that asking for help can be difficult. We aim to create a comfortable and safe environment that allows migrants to openly discuss their concerns and needs without judgement. Respecting privacy and maintaining confidentiality are principles that underpin all our community member conversations.
